You swing a blade that wears out as you use it.

Every hit chips it. KEEN, NICKED, CRACKED, FRACTURED. A dull blade reaches shorter and winds up slower. You cannot lose before the break, but you can waste the good part of the edge.

Then the blade gives. It does not vanish, it forks, and you keep one half:

SLIVER - fast, short, fragile. The thing runs. Run it down before its clock, and it pays 1.7x.
STUMP - slow, heavy, staggering. The thing turns and fights. Land three before it lands one.

Twelve rounds and the run ends either way. The blade is your health. Press E to walk away.

One button. Two minutes. It gets mean around round eight.

Dev here, submitted for the Playtest & Feedback Exchange. If you play it, I want two specific things more than a score: (1) after the blade breaks and forks, does your choice actually change what you do next, or is it just a different number? (2) does the heavy STUMP branch ever feel like the right pick, or is SLIVER always correct? Tell me the round you ended on too. Rough edges are fair game.
